Junior Property Manager

Job Description

We’re an established property management department within a busy East London estate agency, looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Property Manager to join our growing team. Whether you're looking to take your first step into property management or already have some experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to build your career in a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of residential properties with support from the senior team
  • Deliver a 5-star service to landlords, tenants, and contractors, ensuring clear and timely communication
  • Respond to property management enquiries promptly and professionally
  • Organise and coordinate repairs and maintenance works
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers, ensuring work is completed to a high standard
  • Serve relevant legal notices as required
  • Keep up to date with property legislation and ensure compliance
  • Ensure mandatory certifications (EICRs, Gas Safety, EPCs, FRAs, Emergency Lighting) are up to date
  • Conduct regular property inspections and action findings accordingly
  • Use property management software to log maintenance issues, update client records, and raise job orders
  • Follow up on rent payments and ensure rent is collected on time
  • Assist with licence applications, exemptions, and court paperwork when necessary
  • Support senior property manager, lettings, and sales progression teams
  • General admin, filing, and basic DIY when needed

About You

  • A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Customer-focused and confident dealing with people from all walks of life
  • Well-organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A fast learner, eager to stay updated with legislation and industry best practices
  • Willing to undertake relevant industry qualifications (e.g. ARLA/Propertymark)
  • Able to remain calm under pressure and work both independently and in a team
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and property management software
  • No prior property management experience is required – full training will be provided

Job Details

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm
  • Saturdays: Occasional Saturdays (9:30am – 5:00pm) with a day off in lieu during the week
  • Holiday: 28 days including bank holidays
